GOOD SUNDAY MORNING, BUDDIES!
| Sun, 11-15-2009 - 10:52am |
The sun is shining; the house smells like paint; and I can get on the internet this morning -- it's starting out to be a good day! Also - I believe they're going to show my Redskins game on TV this week!! I'm so happy. I mean we're probably going to lose, but at least I'll get to watch! ;o)
So, what's up with your Sunday? I hope it's restful and wonderful and filled with everything you need to launch into a new week of losing!
Happy Sunday!

Hi Karen and other buddies:
All my house cleaning on Sat. gave me a nasty sinus headache at 5 AM, but it was gone by 9. Think a nap will be needed after lunch. Since retirement, I do shopping on weekdays, so weekends are pretty much spent at home and I do some laundry.
Biggest project I'm working on is rearranging my sewing/PC/exercise room. I'm giving away the treadmill, finding the pounding is hard on my aging knees & back. This will give me more room to set up another sewing table along perimeter of room, plus more space in the middle for low-impact aerobics and yoga practice. DH is yearning for chocolate chip cookies and I may try a recipe on the cornstarch box which claims they come out softer. I'll also try substituting 1/2 of the sugar with granulated Stevia. Not to worry - DH will eat almost anything with chocolate chips - LOL.
Also pondering whether to join local Curves gym. Anyone belong?

Hello buddies!
Today is going well so far for me. We've been having a great weekend, actually. DH decided to change his work schedule to four ten hour days so he'd get three days home. He doesn't know if it's permanent, but since I'm not working all the time right now, it's nice to have him home with me three days! Yesterday we went to a town about 40 minutes away from us to see it, go shopping and just have fun outside the house. We had a great time. It was funny because we went to a mall there, and there were literally about 6 open stores in their big mall. We cracked up. At least there was a Subway in the food court, so I was still able to have a good meal. We did get tons of errands done, too, which was nice.
Then last night, Super Mario Bros. Wii came out. And Todd has been counting down to this for the past few weeks. We ran out at midnight to go buy it as soon as it was released. Then I stayed up WAY too late playing with him. Made me wake up late, too.
Now we're just hanging out (he's playing Mario) and I'm getting some last minute things done before my dad gets here tomorrow! The guestroom is so spic and span and the house looks nice, but I want to dust once more, give the pooch a bath, and then bake him some gingerbread. My dad loves my gingerbread from scratch with homemade lemon sauce. I don't even like gingerbread much and I think it's tasty. I also want to start thinking of what desserts I'll be making to take to Turkey Day in PA with my family. And I'd LOVE to get some Christmas shopping done this week, too!
Oh, I love this time of year!! I hope everyone is enjoying cool weather and having a great day!
Good Afternoon Karen-
I have to wait until 3:15 pm today to watch my Packers, but the way they have been playing lately, we will lose again.
This morning we had Sunday School.

It turns out that they're not showing my Skins game after all, but I've found a place to watch it on the puter.
