GOOD TGIFRIDAY MORNING, BUDDIES!

This should be good.  I haven't had any coffee yet.  I woke up early and could't sleep (cramps again), so I ate my oatmeal and took some motrin and fell back to sleep eventually.  I just woke up and realized what time it is, so I ran out to say good morning.  Still, no coffee.  I could say anything....or drop off in the middle of this post.  Stay tuned!

So, how did your Thirstday go?  Did you glug?  I'm feeling good.  I think I glugged enough, though I should have kept more careful track than I did.  One thing I'm happy about is that the girls and I went out for dinner, and I really wanted a diet coke, but I heard you buddies on my shoulder, and I ordered water instead.

Heeeey!  It's Friday!  (Just in case you hadn't noticed.)  I'll be back after my cup of coffee to post the Friday 5.  What are your plans for the day?

Have a fabulous Friday, Buddies!

---Oooo, I forgot to mention - it snowed last night!  Just a couple of inches, but I'm happy!

"---Oooo, I forgot to mention - it snowed last night! Just a couple of inches, but I'm happy!"

I had to laugh...I thought to myself "She'd be friggen ecstatic in MN then!!!"

Good morning buddies. Our MOMS club plans for today got cancelled, but it's probably a good thing. It is cold, icy and slippery out there today! I need to come up with some non-caloric activities to do indoor with the kids today. I really don't want to go out when it's like this. Maybe we'll make some playdough or something. Any other fun ideas?

So far so good, this week. It's been hard, but rewarding. I just have to remember that in 6 months when I fly back to Stanford hospital for my first checkup, I want to be healthier and weigh less. The healthier I live, the better my brain will be. I don't smoke, haven't had a drink since October, and no I need to get into a healthy weight range. I'm not going bikini body this time. Sorry, I'm rambling now. Ahhhh...SAHM snowed in, LOL!

We had snow this morning, also. There was a two hour delay. After the kids were all off to school Dh and I went to Lowe's (a big hardware store) and purchased some seed pkts. I purchased three different varieties of tomatoes, and some herbs: rosemary, sweet basil, and cilantro. Afterward we went to Wal-mart and picked up a few groceries, came home and it was already 1 p.m. Fixed lunch and here I am. Older son has a away basketball game tonight and I need to fix him something to eat before he leaves at 4:30 p.m. Well, gotta get moving to fix something.

I woke up at 5 AM with the same sinus headache, laid around awhile until meds kicked in. Originally planned to go to Curves mid-morning, but was so sleepy I had to take a nap. The place re-opens at 3 PM, was feeling much better, so I headed over. Found one of the afternoon regulars is a woman I haven't seen in 30 years. We were neighbors when our eldest DSs (now 47) were in grade school. She has a younger son the same age as ours (40) and I know all the guys have kept in touch over the years. Her DH died 7 years ago, so she keeps herself busy. She said she hoped we could have lunch and really catch up - and I hope she means it. I intend to call her next week.

Still enjoying my oven roasted veggies with either lean meat or low fat cheese for lunch. I like thick yogurt, so have been draining big cartons of it through a paper coffee filter. When the whey drips out, what's left is the consistency of cream cheese. I mixed 1/2 of it with low sugar preserves for a cream toast spread, the other 1/2 with herbs and a little olive oil for a veggie dip.

The public schools were closed here yesterday, and I can't figure out why.
