GOOD SATURDAY MORNING BUDDIES
| Sat, 02-06-2010 - 9:30am |
Good morning from very snowy central Ohio. But I am sure some of you have more snow than us, not sure if we have hit the 12 inch mark yet or not, might go up to 14 or higher, or who knows, weather people can be so wrong yet keep their jobs!
We plan to stay close to home today although we might venture out later for a later lunch/early supper. We are under Level 2 snow emergency at the moment.
Did my weekly saturday ritual of walking 3 miles on the treadmill.
What are all my beautiful buddies up to today? love, Josie

I was up at 2:30 a.m. this morning. I feel asleep at 8:30 last night. I was just so tired. My other two teens were sick with the gastroenteritis viral thing. YUCK! So more cleaning for mom, and nurturing.
Went out to get the necessary essentials as I knew we'd be snowed in for a few days here. So far we have 24 inches.
Every half hour we've been going out and shoveling little by little. We did the same thing last night 6 p.m. I was out this morning at 4 a.m. with the dogs for an hour. Taking my time, not stressing out over how much snow there was to shovel. At 9 a.m. when we went out again there was about 8 more inches where I had shoveled earlier; and 8 more on top of what I didn't shovel.
Pennsylvania has declared a State of Emergency. No travelling on the roads UNLESS it is an emergency. Penn DOT needs to be able to clear the roads without vehicles becoming stranded along the roadside.
As for other things. I rented the movie Julie and Julia and LOVED it. I thought it was a great movie. There was only one part I didn't like.... but won't spoil it for those who haven't seen it yet. The part I didn't like, wouldn't keep me from watching it again, it was just a part of the movie story line.
Meatloaf for dinner if anyone wants to stop in. =)

Morning Buddies -
I can't believe how much snow everyone is getting and here in Wisconsin we barely got a dusting of snow yesterday.

Checking in late today, nothing on TV I want to watch. Wind was wicked this morning, temps very cold, so I skipped traveling to DGrDs BB games 15 miles away. The road that would be cleared was the interstate and they had already reported several pile ups & 2 deaths, so I stayed home. DH spent an hour clearing the walks & drive, sure glad the old guy has a snow blower - the stuff was wet & heavy. I ran a few errands mid afternoon, but avoided the grocery stores - the lots were packed. Imagine people were getting ready for the bowl game on Sunday. I did get the bathrooms cleaned in anticipation of DHs buddy arriving Sun for a 3 day visit. It's a lot easier since I use the hotel maid method - spray/wipe/shine using dry cloths several times per week. That saves me from having to scrub the scum off.
Supper meat was super good - oven fried boneless/skinless chicken thighs. I dipped them in a mix of egg white, dijon mustard, parsley, olive oil, then in seasoned bread crumbs. Roasted them on a rack over a pan, so all sides got crispy & brown. This is going on my repeat menu list. Another meal good enough for company.

HI Carol:
Hi Loretta:
Hi Mary: was the sledding fun?
I love how the Olympics are trucking in snow, while DC has 2 feet!
sorta a weather joke I guess.
