GOOD TUESDAY MORNING, BUDDIES!
| Tue, 02-09-2010 - 12:40am |
I know it's early (very) to say good morning, but I feel better before I go to bed than after, so ---- Good morning! Just about everyone in the state of Maryland has the day off today, except for the college where I teach. Where is the justice? LOL So, anyway, I'll be teaching today. Then I'm going to come home, grab an ice-pack, and sit where I can watch for our next snow storm. It's supposed to start during the afternoon. Woooo hooooooo!
So, today is Loseday. What would you like to lose? I think I need to lose the idea that feeling bad entitles me to eat anything I dang well please. LOL My goodness, isn't it bad enough that I've hardly moved in a week?
I hope you have a lovely Loseday, Buddies!!

I think much of Maryland is still trying to clear streets and sidewalks before the next storm hits and thereby keeping some areas closed.
The storm here is to start around 3-5 p.m. or so on the weather this morning. It was stated that there would be accumulation on the roads during the commute home tonight. We are to have blizzard conditions tomorrow. Our kids were in school on time today. Dh has a doctor's appt. today and will be going solo; as I have weigh in today and then Drop 10 in 10 class at the college campus today from 12-1.
I'm really proud of you buddies who knew exactly what you wanted to lose today. They were very important and profound (at least to me) areas in ones life to work on. Me? I don't know what I want to lose. I don't want you to think that my life is so perfect that I don't need to change anything, that is the furthest thing from the truth.
I'd like to lose the hesitation or the insecurity of not doing the things I think I ought to be doing. To stop the "excuse" mechanism within me and just do what I feel I'm being called to do.

It is snowing here in Wisconsin too, up to 10 inches, and they cancelled school today.

I felt so bad about missing the scheduled massage last Tues, that I braved the weather and drove the few miles to the business. No one showed up. I should have realized that if the schools are closed (they are), these kind of businesses will also close. Had to clean my car off with a broom, the snowbrush didn't make a dent. DH hadn't plowed the drive yet, but city had cleared the street. I made a running start, pulled out easily, drive was easy, the few people out were going slow. Now I'm back for some hot coffee and holding our new cat for a while. Guess it's back to sewing, but I do need to do stretching routine first - getting stiff from sitting so much lately. Curves is closed then schools are, so can't escape there and no tutoring at the adult ed today either. At least it's bright out - that helps my mid-Winter mood a lot.
What do I want to lose? Dare I say WINTER?

I'm new to this board but have been reading the messages as of late. I live in Wisconsin too and they did not close the schools here in Milwaukee. My kids are getting out 1/2 hour earlier than normal, BIG DEAL. They should have closed all the schools today given the weather now. Stupid MPS system.
Just had to post that... Back to your regularly scheduled posts.
