Howdy, Buddies -- Welcome to the weekend! I'll be going to bed soon, but I wanted to wish you a happy Saturday before I turned in. Do you have any fun plans for today?
Things are about the same around here. I went for the appointment about my injections Friday morning. Now I have to wait another three weeks for an appointment to actually get the first injection. (Can you believe that?) I came home crying from PT again today, but I've got to believe that this is all for good, and I'm going to see some positive results soon.
As for what I'm going to do with my day - hmmmm, I don't have a clue. LOL I think I'll try to find a comfortable position and read a book if I can find one that looks good.
Have a great day, everybuddy! I hope the sun is shining on you today!

Good morning Karen and all my other buddies.
Karen: I am so very sorry on all your pain and the waiting to get the injections.
I LOVE your tulips!
I felt homesick for Maine yesterday, couldn't even make a post. I was born and raised in Maine, lived there for 30 some years and moved away and settled here in PA. We've lived in the same town now since 1998. Longest I've lived in one house my entire life. We used to maple sugar the trees when I was a kid. We would put the big pot on the wood stove and cook the syrup down. Then my mom would can it into jars. It was so good. Anyway, we still take our summer vacation up to Maine and my kids love visiting family and friends. It won't be until mid-August which is the best weather. I think we had more snow this year than you all did up there which is unheard of.
Plans for the weekend. Go over Sunday's lesson for the middle schoolers. Have the lesson plan done, but need to refresh myself, as I did it on Monday/Tuesday. Get some walking done. I'm trying to work my way up to 5 miles a day. Sometimes I do two separate walks which is fine, just breaks up my day. The temps have plummeted and are quite cool and breezy these past few days, but we didn't get the rain that was in the forecast. Oh yeah, still cleaning out flowerbeds.
Have a wonderful, springy and fun type weekend buddies. I hear the cherry blossoms are out in DC. Oh how I would love to visit there this weekend.
P.S. DS (the one with the truck). Just got hired for a new job (the ski resort closed almost two weeks ago). He's a prep cook at Friendly's.

What part of Maine did you grow up in?
My brother owns 80 acres in Orland. We are near Toddy Pond, Alamoosook Lake, Craig Pond and only about 30 to 45 min. from Acadia National Park.
We stop and see family who are still in the Old Orchard Beach area and Scarborough each summer on our way up north. We are staying further north as the summer cottages are cheaper the further north you can travel. =)
Someday maybe I'll have a summer place, but the winters are too cold for me now.

Morning Karen-
That is crazy that you have to wait 3 weeks for an injection.

You made your own maple syrup?
Ouch, ouch - I can hear your misery. I requested my masseuse use trigger point therapy on my shoulders last week. Verrry uncomfortable at the time, but they are moving with very little pain now. Worst part is that I bruise easily and have a few beauties. But she warned me.
Last evening was the first time I'd been out socializing since coming down with that virus over 3 weeks ago. Our DGrD had a birthday party for her DH. Our DS & DDIL, plus DGrS and all the little ones were there. It felt so good to participate and not to feel like I just wanted to lay down. I think the best give one can give our body is to allow it to heal naturally. After all, animals just crawl in a corner and rest when they don't feel good, right? Oh yes, I ate the a sliver of turtle cheesecake and didn't feel the slightest bit guilty. I had skipped the bread, spinach dip, macaroni salad & baked beans, so figure it might all balance out :)
Temps are going to mid 50s today, so I'm determined to get a little yard work done. The tulips hardly show behind all the dead plants.
Off to get some food. BTW - I get All You magazine and the current issue has a big section on diabetes that includes visuals of food sections of the plate for each meal with food suggestions. I'm clearly eating too much of the wrong stuff! Going to cook up a few frozen veggies to have on hand and ready to reheat to fill out the portion that I SHOULD be eating.

I'm sorry your work week was so tough, but it sounds like you got a lot accomplished, so that must feel good.
