Thanks Kristina!!! The tips will help me...I'm so scared I will over-eat and purge on Thanks giving...and I DO NOT want to do that!!! I have so much to be thankful and happy for...I don't want to ruin it by worrying about food. Food should be a happy experience...yes, we need it to survive, but it can also be very nurturing and healing. Right now I'm in a program to treat my ED, it's wonderful. I am focusing on listening to my body's cues, when I'm hungry, when I'm full, etc.

Hi Janine,


How about if you start affirming now that you will eat for nourishment only. Keep telling yourself that either in your mind or out loud over and over. Chances are if you think about overeating and purging too much, you will. But the opposite is true as well. It really does help to state the positive EVEN if you don't believe it.
