Any opinion on plastic surgery?

Do you think this is a crazy idea for us? No matter how far down the recovery road we are? I have always wanted to have my hanging skin removed. It is not alot. After years of exercise it has gotten to be VERY minimal, however, it is still a problem in clothing. I am not trying to look like a "10" but I would like to somewhat even my body out. I am very athletic in build and I would like for this one particular part of my body to look like it. My husband is against it, but I was curious what you guys felt like about it.

Well, this is easy for me to say since I am not in your situation, but I wouldn't do it. I think it's important that we learn to love ourselves the way we are. Also, I assume this would be considered cosmetic surgery and therefore your insurance would not pay for it. More importantly though, there are risks with any surgery, no matter how minor they are. I think I would worry too much about something happening especially since you have a husband and a child or children. When I had my first laparascopy for endometriosis, which was outpatient but a general anesthetic, I wasn't very worried at all but I was single. When I had my second one last year I was married and it made me a lot more nervous. And last but not least, I am not sure what kind of message that would be sending to your kids (or maybe they're too young to notice?).
Again, this is easy for me to say. If I were in your place I couldn't say that I wouldn't do it or at least entertain those thoughts. So what ever you decide, we will be here for you and supporting you.
