I feel in control most of the time and am maintaining a healthy low weight through healthy diet and exercise but still have the occasional urge for sweets! My weakness is chocolate! I feel like I can eat healthy for days and days then get a taste of chocolate and that's it - I'm done - I can't get enough of it! I keep the chocolate away from me but I get a good protein bar of zone bar etc. and it's like a drug to me - I want more and more! How do you deal with the chocolate cravings!!! I can stay away from the pasta/rice/potatoes/bread/chips etc. but can't resist the sweets!!! I hate it!!!! Ideas??

Hi K,

That's a tough one. I used to be the same way and hated it.

Thanks Kristina,

That made a lot of sense what you were saying about avoiding more "sweet" things... I have coffee with splenda in the morning and I drink two diet VANILLA cokes and diet root beers throughout the day and hot tea at night with splenda! Yes, I have a sweet tooth. These sweeter drinks can usually keep cravings at bay and I can resist most things but gosh if I get that ONE taste I can't stop! I eat like the Zone (each meal 40% carbs (good carbs), 30% fat (good fat), and 30% lean protein.) When I stick to the plan I can keep my ED tendencies under control. Last night though we had some extra cookies from a party we went to (I wanted to leave them there because I don't usually have stuff like that in the house but my husband brought the leftover home.) I knew that would be dangerous! I couldn't stop at 1 - had 4 in like a minute I felt SOOOO guilty (160 calories apiece...) The guilt when I slip is so overwhelming... it effects my whole day and my whole self-esteem...We've had rainy weather the past week so I have not been able to run and that is OVERWHELMING me with guilt!!!

Thanks again for the support though...
