Hey guys:
I just wanted to say that all these messages that i am reading have been truesly inspirational. I wanted to know if some one knew, or if someone is going though it themselves. I have been abusing laxitives for 2 years now, and it is starting to catch up with me. I have been having strong stomach pains, especially after i eat (normally), i have bloating and im going to the bathroom irregularly. I went to the doctor and told me i might have IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) i wanted to know if anyone else knows anything about the effects of laxitives on the body, and if IBS makes sence. Im really scared that i might be doing something that has no fix. Thank you for listning

Hi,
I am glad you find the messages helpful. Sorry you are struggling with ED and health issues as a result. Continued use of laxatives will definitely mess up your gut, intestines, etc. and also your ability to have a bowel movement on your own. The good thing is that it's reversable but the first thing you need to do is get off the laxatives. IBS is just something doctors tell you when they don't really know what's wrong. Don't let them convince you that it's not curable and that you have to be on Nexium or Zelnorm the rest of your life. It's NOT true.
After stopping the laxatives and eating healthy meals, it's important to take good probiotics. I am about to go on a one week cleanse and Primal Defense (probiotic) by Garden of Life is one thing I will be taking. I have never taken it before but have heard and read good things about it. Actually I just got an e-newsletter from www.mercola.com and he is talking about a new book http://www.mercola.com/forms/makers_diet.htm. You may not need to get the book, but read this short story about the author http://www.mercola.com/article/primal_defense_success.htm
Love & hugs, Kristina
