1. What is the most essential item you include in your suitcase when you travel? Why?

2. What is the least essential item you include in your suitcase when you travel? Why?
3. How early do you start packing for a big trip (say, a week)? Why so early or so late?

4. What do you pack in your carry-on bag if you're flying? If you've never flown, estimate what you'd pack.

5. Do you typically pack too much or too little? Why?

yay for friday!

1. What is the most essential item you include in your suitcase when you travel? Why?

definitely my water bottle. i've got to have my water!

2. What is the least essential item you include in your suitcase when you travel? Why?

i always pack my running shoes, and hardly ever find the time to use them when i travel.

3. How early do you start packing for a big trip (say, a week)? Why so early or so late?

usually the night before. i like to pack everything at once, and i don't like having to get in and out of my bag for stuff like my toothbrush or a bit of makeup.

4. What do you pack in your carry-on bag if you're flying? If you've never flown, estimate what you'd pack.

everything goes carry-on. i really flaunt the one bag and one purse rule. i try to get by with one obvious bag, one less-obvious bag that i can claim as a purse, and my actual purse, which is small enough to stuff into one of the other bags if the gate agents give me trauma about it. yes, i am that girl at the gate holding up the entire line trying to cram everything into my carry-on at the last minute while a furious agent stamps her foot at me. sorry!

5. Do you typically pack too much or too little? Why?

my bags always seem overfull. i'm not sure why, since i'm pretty low-maintenance. probably because of those silly running shoes :)

1. What is the most essential item you include in your suitcase when you travel? Why?

I can't pick...I tend to be an over-packer

2. What is the least essential item you include in your suitcase when you travel? Why?

Again...everything I pack is essential:=)

3. How early do you start packing for a big trip (say, a week)? Why so early or so late?

about 2 days before; I should start earlier, but I always think I'm going to have enough time

4. What do you pack in your carry-on bag if you're flying? If you've never flown, estimate what you'd pack.

If no kids...something to read; if kids...their diaper bags and toys to entertain them

5. Do you typically pack too much or too little? Why?

too much...I always want to have the perfect thing to wear no matter what the weather might be

1. What is the most essential item you include in your suitcase when you travel? Why?

Pens and postcard stamps! I love to send my friends postcards when I'm on vacation. I was just in Maine on vacation, and I think that I sent almost 40 postcards.

2. What is the least essential item you include in your suitcase when you travel? Why?

I always end up bringing all this lotion and makeup, and I never end up using it every day. I just keep thinking that I'm going to need it.

3. How early do you start packing for a big trip (say, a week)? Why so early or so late?

It depends on how big the trip is. I usually pack the day before. I need to do laundry and get all my bathroom stuff together. I can't procrastinate on it too much, though, or it makes me really nervous!

4. What do you pack in your carry-on bag if you're flying? If you've never flown, estimate what you'd pack.

Books! I love to read!

5. Do you typically pack too much or too little? Why?

Way too much! I always worry that I'm going to need tons of extra clothes, and I always end up packing for all kinds of weather even if I'm fairly certain that it's either going to be hot or cold.

1. What is the most essential item you include in your suitcase when you travel? Why?
I don’t know; there are so many – skivvies, clothes in general (can’t and don’t want to run around naked, shoes, etc.)

2. What is the least essential item you include in your suitcase when you travel? Why?
Clothes that I typically don’t wear at home (so why on earth would I wear them on vacation?)

3. How early do you start packing for a big trip (say, a week)? Why so early or so late?
I like to start about 5 to 7 days before as I do laundry, but don’t pack the toiletries until the day of.

4. What do you pack in your carry-on bag if you're flying? If you've never flown, estimate what you'd pack.
Depending on the length of the flight, books/magazines, bible, something to journal on/in, and water (for the airport).

5. Do you typically pack too much or too little? Why?
Most definitely too much – I want to have options when I get dressed and don’t feel like pre-planning all my outfits.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
