Good morning ladies,

I am new to this board but not to Ivillage I post on another board here...

I have a question about eating disorders and I in high hopes that someone here can help me

I had a baby well he isnt a baby anymore he is 6 years old when I was pregnant I went from 100 pounds to 185 pounds ya I know an 85 pound gain..after the birth of my son I went a little nuts and started to work out alot dieted stuff like that until recent years it was under control then I just figured hey I am not loosing enough weight I have no will power no control and well I went down to 90 pounds now I am small framed about 5'2 I went down to 90pounds but didnt look sick or tired or anything like that no one really could tell I was thin..so I kept a weight chart worked out twice a day ate only a small tiny bag of salt free pretzels filled up on caffine diet pills laxative vomiting starvation stuff like that I am in therapsy for over a yer now and on meds for bi-polar so I have gained some weight back I am around 110 which I hate and eel so bad about I cry over my weight and I feel so crappy about it you see others seem to think I have a problem but I dont think so I am a normal weight I guess so how can I have a problem....as of now I take fiber pills diet pills water pills work out 2 hours but an hour of that is walking and an hour is working out..,is it possible to have aproblem but be at a normal weight I no longer weihg myself no do I keep a weight chart I used to keep one and if I went about 90 pounds I would call myself really nasty name..so I dont do those things but I measure myself now my waist hips bust things like that..

Is it possible to have an eating disorder that isnt text book like anorexia or being bulimic?

Sorry if I offeneed or hurt anyone by my post...

Thank you in advance for any info

Yes, I think that it is very possible to have an eating disorder that is not a text book case of anorexia or bulimia.

Absolutely. You don't have to fit the exact description and I think you do have ED issues. Some bulimics never purge as in throw up, but they do purge the extra calories by taking pills, over exercising, etc. Which I think you're doing.
