I had this very bad very embarassing thing happen tonight.  After dinner that I purged I was walking in Dilliards and at the makeup counter where I was trying to figure out colors I got the shakes and my legs started to tremble and I got kinda weak. Has anyone had this? I actually had the customer rep scared. She made me sit down and told my hubby to go get me a soda to bring up my sugar. I acted like thats what I was having problems with but I just had a physical and there was nothing wrong with my sugar levels. Anyone ever have this? I am really scared about it.

Hi Julie,

I also purge when I eat but I have the on command gag thing going on I eat and automatically need to vomit it can be a bite of food and I purge it up..

I havent gotten shakey from that I just get really hot and tired and dizzy so I just lay down..but each personis different...when Irestrict that is when I get really shakey and cant really do anything..

I also think that you should go to the doctor and be honest maybe ther is something more going on than you think..or the doctors think..

I know that I am the pot calling the kettle black cause I need to do something about this also but I do think that you should talk to your doc about it they can help..

Wishing you a ton of luck and sending hgs.

Julie,

I get the shakes quite often if I haven't been eating right/enough. Often it is my blood sugar. Your blood sugar will change day to day... even hour to hour. If you drink orange juice it may help. I was in the hospital a little over a year ago for low potassium and low blood sugar and my heart was freaking out and my legs were weak and twitchy. After 3 days, when I was leaving the hospital, I was told how important it is to keep everything level. Blood sugar, electrolytes, etc.. It was suggested that I eat every 3 to 4 hours.... even if it is a little something with carb/protien/fruit or veggie.... like peanut butter on crackers with 8 oz orange juice.

I really think it was my blood sugar too. It was scary and I will watch that from now on. My hubby aid he is very upset about this and he thinks I am about to die. I sure hope he is wrong. I am trying to get better I just hope I have enough time to get better.
