What are you doing for dinner?

Ive been a bit of a hypercrit lately by saying Im going to eat Thanksgiving dinner this year with my whole family (Ive been actually excited! It will be the first time in such a looonngg time since I have) that I love so much.

But then I keep hearing all over commercials and magazines and tv shows about how damaging the meal can be. Different ways to cut calories and stuff like that.. What is a recovering girl supposed to do?

Im not going to "prepare" for the dinner.. I just want it to be relaxed and comfortable. Does anyone have ANY advice what so ever that could help me??

I know rthat alot of us are all thinking the same thing but Id love to hear some opinions!

Hi Caitlin,

I personally think it's good to know what your trigger foods are and avoid them. For me bread is a trigger food so I typically stay away from it completely. Fix yourself a plate with turkey, veggies, salad if there is any, and then have a little bit of the things you really want to have (again, if a little bit of a trigger food can trip you up then avoid it). If you are still hungry after one plate, fix yourself another one.

I typically also avoid standing around any snack tables and snacking away. If I do I might feel guilty later.

I hope this helps.

Love & hugs, Kristina

Hi Caitlin -

I guess I wanted to know if you really think it will be relaxed and comfortable.
