Hi, all! I'm new to this board and, although many topics are helpful, I didn't see anything about my most important question. Here it is:
I was anorexic as a teen, trying to fit my professional model mother's idea of what I should look like. Through my adult life (I'm 35), I revert to anorexia when I'm in extreme stress so that I have something I can control. I'm doing very well now and am actually five pounds over my "ideal weight" or so they say. I'm still 5'6" and a size 4. My worry is that I'll never see myself the way I really look (or what others tell me I am). I will always pick a woman who is at least a size 10 and think she's identical to me. I always feel ugly, even though people tell me I'm more than pretty, even beautiful. I feel mousy and frumpy and fat all the time.
This is starting to alter my relationships, as I keep thinking my boyfriend will dump me for someone prettier/thinner/etc. in time, so I don't trust him and I don't get close to him. I really need to start feeling better about myself, but I don't know what to do or where to even start!
Any help? Suggestions? What did you do?

Hi
