*****trigger warning for cal #, weight loss #.*****
hi...
this is my first post here, and it's kinda hard. and i dont know if i have problem enough to belong here.
ive been restricting quite a bit for a few months now, and have lost over 50 lbs. then for the last couple of months, things really gripped me and ive been staying under 500 cals a day. and i started purging, but only once every week or so. but my weight is still towards to higher end of the healthy zone for my weight range.
the problem i'm having is that even though my weight is still so high, i've started losing my hair a few wks ago. now i dont know if im losing my hair because of the way i've been eating??? is this possible? i dont think i'm ana. for all kinds of reasons.
the other possiblity is that one of my bipolar medications is all of a sudden causing this to happen, which has happened before to other people according to research i did online.
im not sure what to think. has this happened to anyone before? and if so, what do i do?
thank you so much for any help at all...

Ditto to what Anna said,
Anyone is welcome here. If you feel alone, or want to talk about what's on your mind here is a place to come. We have been there, and understand how hard it can be.
Thanks Anna :)

hi poppy!
good to see you again. thanks for your help. yes, my skin has been awfully dry too, along with the hair problems. i checked with my pdoc today, and it's impossible to tell right now if it's a side effect of the one of my meds (one of them) that is just now showing up after a year (which is possible according to online research)... or if it's my diet. he's leaning towards my diet because its getting worse and worse for so long now, and the timing. i'm pretty consistently losing at least 2 lbs a week now.
i've decided to take multi-vitamins religiously now. along with zinc and selenium supplements. i'm also going to pick up some biotin. use the nioxxin, and be extremely gentle with my hair. i've never taken vitamin e before. maybe that will help with my scars? (btw, i've been safe for 43 days in a row! happy dance!!!)
anyway, good talking with you again.
hugs!
hi Anna,
thank you for welcoming me, and thank you for posting of your experiences. i dont feel quite so alone. i feel like such a freak among my friends, as if i have any, really. i'm so messed up, in so many ways. it's good to feel as if i have a place to come for this.
thank you!
Yes, feeling good is more important than having a mop of hair!
Woohoo - that's great about keeping safe for 43 days! Yay!
Has your doctor also checked your thyroid levels? Just to rule that out?
Take care, sweets. I've missed you a lot.
Hugs,
