Hi I hope I can help you out. I know St. Johns wort is used for mild depression not for eating disorders directly. In some way it can help with your recovery in conjunction with other therapies, but only if you are experencing mild depression. If you are severly depressed I urge you to seek a physican for help. Just remember if your are going to take it always let your physican know because St. Johns Wort can cause adverse reactions with other meds. I have used St Johns wort before but when I became severly depressed it wasn't enough to help me so I had to try an antidepressant. The antidepressant was stronger. Good luck in your recovery.
