Wellbutrin anyone?

Hi everyone,
I hope everyone is doing well. I haven't posted in awhile here, I've been so busy with work, life, and struggling with my relapse of bulimia this past year. After almost a year now, I am starting to recover again with the support of my boyfriend and family. I feel so frustrated right now because there are days where I am doing great and then days where I fail. I want to be better so bad and it's not happening as fast as I want it to. I am currently going through therapy with a pyschologist.I was on Paxil CR for depression and anxiety/panic disorder, prescribed to me by my primary physican, but stopped taking it because it made me feel dizzy and constantly hungry. Naturally I have a good appetite and I love food. Paxil made it more difficult to overcome my cravings and bulimic thoughts. Even after I ate I would still be hungry. While on Paxil, I also had days where I would be hyper and overly happy. I would feel like I was on top of the world. Then again I would feel depressed and low.I felt like I was bipolar. My pyschologist suggested I try wellbutrin. Honestly, I would rather not be on any meds. I am a firm believer of alternative therapies and have used St. Johns Wort in the past. St. Johns Wort worked really well for me before but when I became severely depressed it lost its effect. So I was wondering if anyone here has used or is using Wellbutrin?
Thanks for listening.

Wellbutrin is not a good choice for anyone who throws up.

When I was 18, I was prescribed Wellbutrin by a psychiatrist, who claimed to know what kinds of medications were helpful with treating eating disorders, but as I found out later on, he obviously had no clue what he was doing. After being on it for close to 2 months, alongside Prozac at the same time, a psychiatrist at the eating disorder clinic I was at promptly took me off of it, and was horrified that a professional who claimed to be knowledgable in that area had prescribed it to begin with. He told me that with anyone taking Wellbutrin, there is a risk for developing seizures, but if you're bulimic, those odds are dramatically increased. So I've been told.........
