3 meals a day

I haven't posted much ever and definitely not in a long while, I'm still new here. Anyway, I'm really struggling right now, actually I have been for some time. Every time I try to eat three meals a day (which is extremely rare these days), I end up feeling fat. I'm averaging about a meal, maybe a meal and a half a day. How can I get past this and eat normally (whatever that is)? My husband is very upset that I don't eat enough, but I just can't bring myself to do it. Please help.

Have you dropped substantial weight?how much due to one meal a day and what else do you do besides not eat to contribute more weightloss?At least your eating something,some people eat nothing at all,try to snack too,wish you the best

Hi, thanks for the reply. Regarding my weight, the number on the scale still remains constant. However, several people, my husband included, have told me that I look like I've lost weight. My husband specifically stated that my arms and legs look skinnier. Also, I'm losing a lot of hair. I clean houses for a living so that keeps me busy. I also do weight training at the gym. I mostly snack, but I try to eat more. On the very rare occasions that I do eat three meals, I end up feeling like a cow and go back to restricting.

Just a thought -- don't eat 3 meals, eat 6 or 7 small meals.

Thanks, Diana. But, I can't realistically see myself doing that. Sorry. Just reading your post and seeing the numbers '6' or '7' scared the hell out of me. What I thought is maybe try for three small meals for a while, see how that works, then eventually work some snacks in.

Hey, don't worry, not a problem. You're very helpful, I just prefer to go a little slower, that's all. If I don't, I'll end up restricting again. Of course, I'll keep posting. Even though this board doesn't get alot of traffic, the posts here are very encouraging. There's another message board that I sometimes post on (I won't mention the name, but it's not ivillage related) that gets alot more traffic than this one. However, many of the posts are triggery and sometimes the moderators don't edit very well at all. This one is great, though.
