I think because you're stomach has been empty for so many days, you have to start slowly at first again. Perhaps drink some light soup - just some good broth made of vegetables or with meat. Drink a few cups of this throughout the day. It's one way to get nutrition. Add vegetables and meat, put these into a blender to puree, and add to your broth to make a soup. It's easy to swallow and easy on your stomach.

Diana is also online right now. I am sure she'll give you really, really great insight.

Hi darkheaven and welcome to the Ed board.

I can't really tell much from your post but it's clear you're distressed.

Have you told anyone that you haven't been able to eat for the past 3 or 4 days? Perhaps you can reach out now, tell them, and ask them to stay with you as you start drinking your broth, or your shakes. Your body is a machine, and all machines need fuel and right now your body is showing signs that it is very, very, very low on fuel.

Don't think about eating. Think about getting some fuel. Think about drinking a nutrition shake of some kind such as Ensure.

Talk to us, too. What's making you so distressed? You've come to a very safe place, and not one here is going to judge or condem you. You'll only find very understand, supportive and kind people here. Come, sit next to me. You can stay here until you are feeling more grounded and safe. And if you want to talk, I'm here to listen.

But please do reach out to someone in real life. Is there someone you can call? A family member? A friend? A colleague you are close to and whom you trust? A caring neighbour? In an emergency, and if you are feeling particularly dizzy and faint, please call 911 at once.

Gentle hugs,

I just saw your reply to Diana.

Talk to you doctor. Talk to your school nurse. And you don't have to eat three huge meals a day if you can't eat normal portions. A lot of people eat 5 smaller meals throughout the day - and that's perfectly okay.

Did you know that there's a messageboard for Stomach & Digestive Disorders? I think if you post there, too, you'll get a lot of supportive responses from people who understand what you went through with the Helicobacter, and some of the fears you are facing now.

Keep on telling us how you are doing, okay? I'll be sending you positive energy.
