Hi everyone..
My name is ERin I am 31 soon to be 32..and have had a food issue for well over 8 years now.
I have gone into treatment by my own will and it just made me loose more weight..it did not help anything but to empty my wallet.
I am not your typical anorexic/bullimic by anymeans, I do not look overly thin if you see me you would say wow she is thin but not wow she looks sick.
my problem is I dont think that I want to stop and be normal..I work out take the pills ect...
oh ya I also have an 8 year old whom I love more than my own life.
I eat when I am hungry "safe" food, but when it comes to sweets, there is no limit I will eat a doxen cookies or huge ammounts of m&m's is that normal??? to want sugar more than a piece of chicken.
I would just really like some real insight from people who are like I am the doctors only told me to eat and sing while in the bathroom..they never tried to get behind the illness.
thanks so much.

Hi Erin,
I can eat a bag of my favorite chocolate bars in one sitting and it doesn't phase me. About 8 years ago I used to eat the box of dry cake mix in less than an hour (it was very good), same with cookie doe. Now though, If I can get a big pack of reeses chocolate I'll eat it all. People asked how I lost weight with my first son, my answer was "Sitting on the couch eating Oreo's." To get me to eat a bowl of cereal though, well I don't remember the last time I ate breakfast. I'm not sure why I can eat a bunch of candy (junk) and prefer it ... maybe because the sugar keeps me going. anyway, I wanted to say I can eat a dozen cookies in a short amount of time and I'm OK with eating them, when it comes to steak, ham, and similar ... no thanks. The biggest step I've taken in getting myself help was I recently started taking vitamins and I posted on here. I don't know about changing my lifestyle either, but I know it's the right thing to do. I'm kind of sick of feeling like I can't lift my head up because I get so weak. It's not often ... to feel like that though, I don't know if it's worth it. I have kids too, I worry they'll pick up on my habits. I hope I at least helped to let you know your not alone in what you do. Why did your doctor tell you to sing in the bathroom?

the singing in the bathroom was when I was in renfrew I am also someone who vomits also..so the singing was to ensure that I was not vomiting up my food..
