***Friendly reminder re posting numbers

Numbers can be triggering to others, and we all will understand that a person is struggling without posting exact numbers, like weight, height, how much weight someone lost or gained, calories and the like.

Generalities help others to focus on the individual person, how s/he feels, and helps others connect with her/him in a positive way. Also, it encourages people to describe themselves in a way other than their ed's dictate.

Unfortunately, sometimes people can feel competitive about their weight by reading someone else's, and it can easily trigger more of the negative behaviors people here want to recover from.

Also, posts naming pro-ana or pro-bulimia sites will have to be removed.

I personally believe that message boards offer a unique forum for sharing about ed's as we are not live people sitting in a circle, looking at other people's bodies, comparing and feeling we're not thin enough because it *seems* someone else is *better* b/c we *think* they are thinner.  Or for some of us, having younger members telling us they hope they look like us when they're our age, when we want to change.

We're here to help not hurt :)

Carry on!  This is a great board, and you have made it that way.  And I know that no one means to trigger anyone else, which why this is just a reminder, as it is easy to forget.
