These issues, which I've struggled with for 30 years, are really a symptom of our mental states.
I've found that accepting responsibility for the problems and not being a victim really helps.
Also that these issues help define my character as I battle them on a daily basis.
I discovered a book that's helped me put my pain into perspective, "Secrets of the SuperOptimist".
Read it if you want a perspective on life you won't find on Dr. Phil.
That along with no longer comparing myself to celebrity icons and models has lifted me out
of my depression and even helped me embrace my disease without negative self-judgement.
