How to confront a friend

There's a group of our neighbors that are all good friends.  One if the women (who is married) definitely has an eating disorder.  We think she is anorexic.  She is so thin that people gawk when they see her.  She is a smart girl with a seemingly happy marriage, great job and close with her family. She also comes across as confident and is pretty social as well.  It just doesn't seem to fit.  If we all go for dinner or anywhere she always has an excuse not to make it in time and will meet up with us after and have drinks only.

A few of us girls have been thinking of confronting her or talking to her husband but we feel really uncomfortable about it and worry she will react negatively and just shut us all out.  What is the best way to approach this?   Do we talk to her husband?  Maybe he likes her skinny???  Or should a few of us confront her at once like an intervention?  One on one?

We are so lost and looking for some way to help our friend.

Thanks in advance.

Here are some good tips on talking to someone about their eating disorder from the website www.something-fishy.org.
