Trying to stop

Hi everyone,

I've been battling bulimia now for about 6 years. I haven't really had complications until the past few days. I started to feel extremely dizzy and I could feel my heart beating irregularly and I've had sharp headaches. This has scared me into stopping but I'm afraid something will happen to me. What should I do?

Hello curiousj3!

I would go to your doc and make sure everything is ok. Better to be careful! Please, let us know how you are doing.

Good luck!

Hi there, curiousj3 and welcome to the board!

I agree, the first thing you should do is get to the doctor and get checked out.

Hey curiousjs3,

You have battled bulimia for such a long time! You deserve so much more than to be trapped in the vicious hands of the monster :( *hugs*

You mentioned in your post that if you stopped the binging/purging behaviors, you're afraid that something would happen to you. What is that "something" that your afraid of? Is it gaining weight? Is it that loss of control? The feeling of insecurity or comfort? I really hope that you figure out what that is!

Please try to take care of yourself. The dizziness and irregular heart beat could potentially branch into something serious. Drink water - it might be dehydration! Take care, I know your strong :) and you deserve a life without ED!
