ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH  !!!!

Ah, that feels better.  Thank you!

Here are today's venting questions!  Also feel free to vent about anything you would like or need to!!

1.  Do you dislike anything regarding your computer?

2. What do you dislike about your responsibilities?

3.  What do you dislike (for tactful lack of a stronger word) about *numbers* regarding ed (please don't use actual numbers, just feelings).

Hi Diana.

I like these venting questions! I spend so much time being nice and keeping people happy that it feels good to be honest about how I am feeling and let out my stuff.

1. Do you dislike anything regarding your computer?

Yes - my work computer. When I started with this company they used a Mac-based system. About a year ago they switched to a PC-based system - I miss the Mac's. But I have a Mac at home, which is nice.

2. What do you dislike about your responsibilities?

I feel like I am not allowed to "let down" because there's too much on my plate. I considered taking time off from work in order to do intensive treatment from my ED, but if I left work, that would mean that others had to take on more responsibilities because of me being gone. I guess I feel like I have to be strong all the time for everyone else and don't have the opportunity to do what I need to do for me.

3. What do you dislike (for tactful lack of a stronger word) about *numbers* regarding ed (please don't use actual numbers, just feelings).

I hate how the numbers determine my happiness. They determine whether or not I perceive myself as "successful." If I'm successful I am happy. If I'm not successful, I feel guilty and am harder on myself. The numbers have the potential to have ultimate power over me and it's exhausting to try and break free from their hold every minute/meal/day.

Thanks for the thought-provoking questions.

Love,

1. Do you dislike anything regarding your computer?

I got my laptop my freshman year of college, so it is about five years old. All in all, it works fairly well, especially for an older computer. I don't like that it doesn't have built in wireless capabilities, though. I have to use a wireless card. I'm planning to get a new computer when I'm finished with grad school, but that won't be for about another year.

2. What do you dislike about your responsibilities?

I'm apt to be called into work at any time. I hate having to go in on days when I'm not scheduled. Some weeks I just feel like I don't have enough "me" time. As in, not enough time to go out to the barn as often as I'd like to or I can't see my boyfriend because I'm always at work.

3. What do you dislike (for tactful lack of a stronger word) about *numbers* regarding ed (please don't use actual numbers, just feelings).

I hate that the numbers on the scale determine what kind of day I have. It's very frustrating. I'm working on not weighing myself so much.

Thanks Diana. Good to "see" you too! I've missed the Boards, but with the intensive treatment I've been doing, the Boards have been too much and a bit too triggering.

As far as intensive treatment goes - it's happening, although not through an official treatment center. Instead we've added several components to my treatment so I meet with team members 3-4 days per week. My therapist calls it "our unique program." It's intense, exhausting, but it's helping a lot. The medical leave option is still there if I need it, and my team will be right there to make it happen if it becomes necessary and/or appropriate. But for now, I seem to be able to balance things pretty well.

How are you doing? I hope you are doing well and that you have a fun summer planned with your boys!

Enjoy your holiday weekend!
