hi, I just came across this board and I'm looking for an opinion on good books to treat and understand bulimia. The two I've been looking at are Bulimia: A Guide to Recovery by Lindsay Hall, and The Overcoming Bulimia Workbook: Your Comprehensive, Step-by-Step Guide to Recovery by Randi E. McCabe. Has anyone heard anything about these books, which one would you recommend over the other and why? Thanks for your help!

Unfortunately, yes...been dealing with this off and on for a long time now and I want to tackle it once and for all...I have a baby boy now and I relapsed after he was born, I just want to get better for his sake and my own and I think if I could better understand how I'm hurting myself and how to get past it it might help me out.

I don't know why I just saw this post, maybe I overlooked it. I've heard of the books you referred to - the A Guide to Recovery Book is supposed to be really good. I personally have only flipped through it. However, these are the books I used and are quite helpful:

Surviving an Eating Disorder by Michelle Siegel http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbninquiry.asp?ean=9780060952334&pwb=1&z=y

The Secret Language of Eating Disorders by Peggy Claude Pierre http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbnInquiry.asp?z=y&EAN=9780375750182&itm=3
