Here's your chance to vent! What is seeming unhelpful to you this week so far?
And, to kind of balance things out, what is going well?
Looking forward to hearing from you!!

Arrrggghhh!
What is seeming unhelpful to you this week so far?
My third grad school residency is coming up, and I'm really anxious about it. I'm the type of person that gets anxious about everything, whether there is reason to be or not. I'm worried that I'm going to be homesick for my pony and my dog. My boyfriend is going to go with me and stay the whole week, which will help a lot because he's good at calming me down and making me feel safe when I get really nervous.
And, to kind of balance things out, what is going well?
I've had a really good riding week. I've just had so much fun. I think that I am going to take pictures of my pony and my dog to my residency with me to have in my room and to carry with me to help with the anxiety.
Great to hear that you're feeling better, Catherine!

Hi (((perfectpony)))
When is your residency?
~Diana~
Hi! Thanks for replying to me. :-)
My residency is June 19-25. I'll be down at my grad school attending writing lectures and workshops. I'll also be meeting with my mentor. (I'm working on my MA in writing popular fiction. My BA is in creative writing.)
My riding instructor technically owns the pony that I ride, so she will be taking care of him while I'm away. (She is kind enough to let me ride him whenever I want; I plan to buy him in about a year when I'm finished with grad school.) :-) My parents will take care of my dog. :-) I will definitely be calling everyone to check in and I'm planning on sending postcards because I think that will help me feel more connected and less homesick. :-)
Thank you for being there for me. You are a good friend. :-)
