Question about payments

I have asked my fertility MD about the costs for ED, so I am aware of the price. However, I forgot to ask when they want the payment. I know every office mighht be different. We are going to apply for the shared risk payment plan. When do you generally have to pay the lump sum? Is it after they find the egg donor or before they even start searching for the ED?

At SG, you pay $4000 at the time of your match, and the remainder 2-3 weeks later.

Our RE doesn't participate in the shared risk program either but we pay $6k to find a donor. Then we will pay the rest in lump sum once our cycle begins.

Good luck!

At SG, we paid for the psych eval and sperm storage separately.

I paid the rest in one lump (gulp) sum before I chose my donor.

Best wishes,
Gabrielle

After too many failed natural cycles to mention, discover that previously clear tubes have become blocked after surgery to remove fibroids (however, no more fibroids). Decent FSH for 40 year old

We paid $2k when donor accepted and the remainder when I started on estrogen.

Thanks so much for all of your answers. I feel better knowing that there is such a great support network here.
