I spoke to the nurse coordinator and my donor had her appointment last week. Everything was fine physically but she is dealing with something personally and will let us know for sure next week if she can commit to doing it. I am aggravated because first of all we've been waiting for her since April, and secondly we just paid over 2K for her appointment and screening, and if she can't do it we will have to find another donor and that money will be down the drain.
I guess I am glad she is letting us know up front instead of dropping out mid cycle, but I wish she had waited to have her appointment until she knew for sure. So please keep your fingers crossed that she is able to do it and we can get moving.
I have to keep reminding myself of the positive: she had her appointment and physically everything is fine and she wants to do it. But at this point we're looking at the end of next month at the earliest. Sigh...the wait continues.
OK- going for a massage now!

At least she is being up front and honest. Our first donor just called out of the blue the weekend before I was to start my shots and left a message that she just couldn't handle being a donor----this was after her psych and physical testing etc. My nurse kept trying to call her back---I even wrote a letter to her because I thought she was jsut perfect for us--she was Romanian like I am and even looked like my sister when she was a child. She never returned the phone calls from the clinic. We were in no way penalized for her decision but it was heartbreaking because I'd already been on BCP and gotten all my testing done...plus we were back at square one. But everything worked out--and I have to think of it as God not wanting me to procreate using that womans genetics for some reason---He protected me from something and I have that on my list of what I call "questions for Heaven" after I leave this world..........................maybe this small delay will put you in the optimum time for you to conceive and have your miracle---I know it's hard to be patient !!!!
Praying that all works out for you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh Amber:
Let's hope she gets her S&*( together or moves on completely. I hope your clinic can reimburse you for their lack of information (after all that this their issue). You have been so patient for so long as I've got everything crossed for you.
Best wishes and positive thoughts,
Gab

After too many failed natural cycles to mention, discover that previously clear tubes have become blocked after surgery to remove fibroids (however, no more fibroids). Decent FSH for 40 year old
