Hi Laura:

Welcome! This is a great board and I'm sure you will find lots of support here.

To my knowledge, you can't do donor egg with an IUI. Once you go the donor egg route, you have to use IVF. However, you can do an IUI with donor sperm. I would say the question for your RE is does he thinkk the problem is more your eggs or the sperm.

Hope this helps,

Gabrielle

I am so confused.

Thanks

I am coming to terms with it - and feel the same way - I want to expirence the pregnancy, birth , etc and although not techinically genetically connected - I will be the best mom ever and because we are who we are that baby will be more like us no matter what and will at least look like my DH -

Only thing I am worried about is later in life telling them - seems wierd but I am sure there is a book for it LOL

Maybe I will just go to Maryland if teh new RE I go to doesnt have a shared plan - see here in NY if you are over 38 they wont take you

I so agree - I am going to call them too - rather then spend another 15-20K for a DE cycle - I am not getting any younger here thats for sure - I want to call and see the age limit for the shared Donor egg -

It says 39 for shared but with DE you can be older...

I'm aiming for a February start since I'll need to do another mock/prep cycle with the meds and can't start that until I get back from vacation in January.
