Hi all - we have a friend who was going to donate her eggs and is now going thru some 'life challenges' and we're not sure if it is going to happen.

Hi Mattie:

I am one of many SG girls here and we went with the shared risk program there. At the time of my transfer, my cost was $29K which included EVERYTHING except my meds and the initial mock cycle appointment. I did not get a cost breakdown for donor's meds or psych testing. I did not work with an attorney or pay an agency fee as SG's donors are in house. The nice thing about frozen donor eggs at SG is that all the eggs come from proven donors. At SG, if you do a fresh cycle, there is a choice between new or proven donors but there is NOT a cost difference.

I believe if you choose not to do the shared risk which is a 100% money back guarantee if you don't get pg after 6 cycles, they do have have individual plans where you do one cycle without a guarantee. I also believe the frozen egg cycles alone are cheaper (24K, I think for all 6 in the shared risk), or maybe much less for one cycle.

I only know about Shady Grove's program, since I'm another SG gal ;)

Good luck and keep us posted Mattie :)

I have a feeling that within 5 years frozen eggs are going to be pretty standard (and popular) options ... it's a neat feeling to be on the cutting edge!
