I went to an Ivy and I do remember all the recruitment ads (back in the early 90s when I was in grad school). At the time,
I vaguely remember ads like that when I was in college (Duke) ... though the ones I remember more clearly were the "adoption wanted" ads for women who got pg while in college.
I haven't searched further for the original segment ... if you do find it on youtube, please post!
I'm with you, I feel very comfortable w/ SG ... I know they follow the guidelines as far as reimbursement etc from the ASRT.
Isabel Mom to Sebastian Robert after 3+ years of infertility
I was thinking more about it today, and I was wondering how I would feel if I had donated eggs back in college, and then needed DE later in life ... IOW, someone *else* had my genetic child, and my child wasn't genetically mine.
Here is the link for the Youtube video of the Diane sawyer exclusive. I thought is was pretty nauseating.
It also made me sad. I also check the Fertile thoughts DE board and there are several Asian women who because there aren't a lot of Asian donors, have lost thousands trying multiple DE cycles and paid a lot more for those donors before having success.
Thanks for the link ... it was sad.
I'm really glad I found this board and heard about SG ... I'm not sure where I would have ended up otherwise!
