I popped in a few months ago because my mom was diagnosed with lymphoma. She had a massive tumor in her chest. She just finished her 4th chemo and had a CT and PET scan last week. The test results came back today..... There are no more live cancer cells in her body! The tumor did not shrink as much as they would like, though, so today she had another chemo and will have one more in three weeks. After that, she's done! Yippee!
My question is this....
If the tumor is still in her body, what does that mean? Does that mean it has a chance to grow back? Will it continue to shrink? Will it be detrimental to her health even though it is an inactive/dead tumor? I'm so confused.
