*** This is a follow-up to the 'spot found on CT, next steps?' thread...
I had my 2nd opinion dr appointment on Wednesday morning. I picked up the CT film on my way to the dr's office. The dr was really nice, young (compared to Old Man doctor), and really listened. He showed me the film that is supposed to have the abnormal spot. He said he's not even sure which spot the radiologist was talking about because I guess you normally have little white specs in your lungs (well, they look white on a CT scan) and all the specs on that particular film are really small. Which is GOOD news. There was one spec that was just a TAD bigger than the others, so he's guessing that's what the radiologist wants followed up on. There weren't any other specs that caused him concern on any of the other films. Anyway, we're going to redo the CT scan in about 4 weeks. I told him that I didn't think it was anything, I didn't want to be cut open or anything, but that I was young, I have a young family, and I would rather be a bit more proactive about this and actually weigh all the facts that we have (the first doctor never even asked for or saw the CT scans) instead of being reactive. He was fine with all of that.
Whew!

This is good news nalamia, I am so glad you went for a second opinion.

yes definitely more at peace, and you're right about the specs maybe being machine related because he told me I had to get the CT performed at the same hospital. Although, I know they have more than 1 CT machine, so I guess they will look at both scans in comparison...
And it was definitely nice to actually SEE the scans. That was one of the problems I had with the first doctor. He didn't even ASK me about the scans, much less ask to see them. It seems like he was flying blind.
Waiting 4 more weeks is better than waiting 8 more weeks, so I'm happy with that.
Thanks for all the great advice and support!
