update on me and my mom

I posted here back in January when my mom found out she had lung cancer. With about the same odds as hitting the lottery, no other traces of cancer were found outside the left lung and it was removed successfully and without any complications. She just had her 7 month post op chest x-ray and CT scan and she's as clean as a whistle. I still shake my head and thank God every time I read the statistics on surviving lung cancer.

Back in August, *I* had a CT scan as part of diagnosing appendicitis. They found a 5mm spot on one lung. After having to get a new PCP b/c the first one SUCKED, we repeated the CT scan 2 months after the 1st one. The 5mm spot has not grown in size, but they found a 4mm spot on the other side. My doc told me that a CT scan takes a picture every 10mm so it's possible that this spot 'fell through the cracks' when my first CT scan was done in August. Does this sound right?

However, because of my sensitivity to this issue, he wants to repeat the CT scan in 3 months and he's referred me to a lung dr. My PCP wants to make sure the lung dr agrees with our follow-up approach. That appt is November 7th.

So, my mom wants to make sure I make out a list of questions. I'm kinda clueless other than what he thinks my next steps should be, how aggressive should this be monitored and for how long, and the chances of it actually being anything to worry about. My mom added Can these places be checked in a non-invasive way??? PET scan??

Any other questions I should add to my list?
