Questions about progression of lung ca.

I posted here first back in July right after my mom (age 58) was diagnosed with lung cancer. For many reasons she elected not to undergo treatment beyond a palliative course of radiation, which she completed back in early August. Surprisingly she is still with us right now. I talked to her today (we live 8 hrs apart), and she finally admitted that she is experiencing some "shutting down" of systems, in the form of some trouble swallowing and incontinence. Her voice is also very weak much of the time. She said she otherwise "feels fine" and is getting around the house OK, but sometimes is a little off-balance and just turned her oxygen up today.
My question is if anyone can offer some info into the progression of symptoms? We are going up to visit for Christmas and that will likely be the last time my mom sees my children (and possibly even me, depending on how things go). She does have access to hospice care, but right now they are only coming once per week. My brother lives in the same town as mom, but works full-time and has to travel out of town every other weekend. I'm sure hospice will be very helpful whenever she needs them more. Just curious for myself if anyone can tell me what to expect in the next few weeks?
TIA
Dana

Hi Dana
I wish I had all these answers but like you I wasn't with my Mom the last several months of her life.
