Hi,
My name is Adrianne. I'm new to this board--reluctantly so. I just found out a few days ago that my sister in New Orleans has a cancerous lump on her leg. We watched our mom beat this same disease back in '89, but we never thought it was hereditary! Now we have TWO cancers to watch out for, because Mom & her mother both had breast cancer (we know we have that gene)! God must really think Angelique is Superwoman 'cause she still hasn't recovered emotionally from Katrina! (I live on the MS Coast, and although we suffered, DH, DD & I never lost any of our *stuff*.)
I know this is a caring board (thanks to my TTC Over 35 CL, Connie). I'm awaiting any support stories & prayers you can spare!
Adrianne (did I mention that I'm scared I'll be next?)

Hi Adrianne,
I am so sorry this disease has struck another member of your family.
Adrianna welcome to the board.

Good morning, Judy, and thanks for the welcome!
My sister & I live about 100 miles apart; she's on the outskirts of New Orleans, on the west bank of the MS River, and I'm on the MS Coast. Visiting is a possibility, but it would have to be a planned weekend trip.
I'm still waiting for her to call me to tell me how she's doing; Mom thinks that she doesn't want me to worry about her, yet not hearing this from her make me worry! Yesterday she was supposed to have an appointment with her dr. but I'm not sure what for yet...I hope she'll update me soon!
