Dad has to go back on chemo

My father was diagnosed with colon cancer about three years ago. He's had two major operations on/around his liver. After the surgery and chemo, he was doing fine and no tumors were spotted. However, recently, he went for a check up and they saw a spot on his liver. He had a procedure done in which they try to prevent the tumor from spreading. Yesterday, he went to the doctor and they told him the tumor seems to be getting larger and they want him to go back on chemo. They can't operate on his liver more than twice. Chemo was very hard for him. He said at first he told them no but then he thought about us, (my sister and I)amd much convincing from the nurses, he said okay.
This is very hard. I want him to pull through this. The thing is he says he feels fine. His appetite is great, he has not lost any weight and he gets up and go without any problems. If it weren't for his monthly doctor visits, we would never know he had cancer.
He's my only surviving parent and it's so hard because I love him dearly and I'm so disappointed.
Can anyone share any positive stories? I'm so scared and sad at the same time.

Welcome to the board.
Oh I am sorry Dad is having to go through this again.
We did have a board member that received a liver transplant.
Never give up hope my friend, never ever.
