Help me help them

Hi everyone. I'm new to the village. I need some advice. My nephew (who already has spina bifida) was diagnosed with Berkett's cancer on Nov. 10, which coincidently is his birthday. When they found it, it was a 20 pound tumor. Thanks to God,his very learned doctors and his amazing parents and brother as well as his own incredible spirit, he just finished with massive radiation and the return of his own stem cells which were harvested a few months ago. From what I understand, this should do the trick. He will, however, take a year to get back to 100%. What I need to know is what we can do to help the family. We have sent cards, my kids have written all kinds of goofy things to send to their cousin including a revealing family trivia crossword puzzle, and we sent Applebee's gift certificates so they can dine in or carry out. Does anyone have any suggsetions as to what we can do for this family now? They are all so tired mentally and physically. We couldn't possibly understand what they are going through and was wondering if there was anything that comforted, helped or created laughter for others in this situation.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for replying. My nephew turned 20 on the day they discovered his cancer. He had just gone off to college for the first time a few weeks before. The cleaning service and yard service are great ideas. I know we can get a reputable cleaning service, like Merry Maids or something that is a chain service. I will have to look into trying to find lawn service-we live in a different state or we would certainly take care of it ourselves. Thanks again. We just feel so confused and helpless.
