My best Friend/Sister has just been diagnosed with infiltrating Ductal Carcinoma of the breast. She has had yearly mammograms and this one just showed up.
They biopsied part of one tumor that the doctor removed on Thursday last week. On the follow up visit- She has been told there is 2 more tumors and will have to have the right breast removed and go thru a round of Chemo. This is all schueled to take place in the next two weeks at a specialist in Jackson, Ms Breast Center. One of the best in the state.
This woman is more than my sister -- she is my best friend even tho she is 7 years older than I am, we share a bond that no one can break. Ya-Ya sisterhood movie was made for our little group of women!!! We share years of secrets only the 2 of us know of each other!! She is very upbeat, positive and has the faith in God abundently to make this be a positive experience.
If anyone has any tips of support I can offer in anyway, please feel free to post them.
She and I have talked - I told her I am here for her in whatever I can do to make this next year as easy as possible for her. We lost my mother suddenly to congestive heart failure 2 years ago in August. Her own Mother died when she was 4 years old. (same Rooster- different chick) Our father is undergoing his second treatments now for
Prostrate cancer. He is 76. Doing VERY well. God pulled us all thru those times as He will pull us thru this as well.
I just want to be what she needs me to be during this time.
Thanks for any input and prayers you may send out!

I am so sorry that both your sister and father are facing cancer.
Hi there.
I am sorry to hear of your Sister's recent breast cancer
Thanks so very much for your input.
I appreciate the care and concern you have shown for my family.
The tips you have suggested are good ones and I intend to store the information as we need it along the way.
We are ignorant of what is actually going to be taking place over the next year. We have heard so many stories---- However, the more we learn the more we can be what she needs her support chain to be. She is such a loving and giving person, she helps everyone and is not used to those helping her--- it will be hard for her to ask for help as well as receive it; however that will not stop us....
I hope your progress is a positive one and the cancer goes into a very quick
remission for you and stays there. Gently hugs and prayers for you and yours as well.
God is in control....
Thanks again for your honest insight.

I just wanted to see how you and your sister were doing.
Thank you for your kind reply.
Billie,
I accidently posted the message twice, disregard this one.
