Advice Needed--Daycare Provider's Baby

I hope that in posting this, my friend does not sound like a jerk. My friend Jennie's daycare provider's year-old baby was just diagnosed with cancer. The provider believes daycare can continue while her baby is in treatment. Jennie isn't at all sure what to do--her baby is one of those who needs a lot of consistency in her providers, but she doesn't want to leave her daycare provider during such a difficult time. IMHO--and this is after my DH had a serious illness a few years back--the daycare provider will not be able to continue her work while her baby is in treatment. Could anyone provide some input, guidance, advice?

Thanks so much.

Hello and welcome to the board.

Well I wonder if your friend has asked the baby's medical team if it is okay for the baby to be in a daycare environment?

Hope everyone has a great Summer!
