Hi everyone,

I'm new here so bear with me...In August 07 my  26yr son was diagnosed with anaplastic oligodendroglioma grade 3 which is brain cancer in the frontal lobe.  They did surgery in Sept.  and he has gone thru 42 days of chemo and radiation.  He lives in Ohio and we are doctoring there and at Duke Brain Tumor Center.  They have now put him on chemo again 5 days on 23 off for at least a year.  The last MRI showed no progression which is good (clean MRI) for now.

Today my son called me and was so sick he could hardly manage a conversation.  I'm so angry and I feel so helpless that it is driving me crazy.  I know God does things for a reason and I truly believe that, but right now I just am not coping very well.  Just wondered if anyone out there has had the same experience and how they got thru it all.

Thanks for listening in advance.

hi there,

first, let me send along my best wishes for your son's full recovery. dealing with cancer is hard enough, let alone when threatens the ones with a lifetime left to live.

Your letter humbled me. I say this because i was diagnosed with cancer recently. i spent a good deal of time worrying and feeling sorry for myself. But i got lucky.
