I posted on this board because unfortunately, there is not one for the type of cancer I have. I was diagnosed with colon cancer in September. I am 44 years old. No immediate family history of the disease other than a 2nd cousin on my dad's side. So, I have had one tumor removed from my colon, had a resection and am now in treatment as the cancer spread to my liver and to my lung. Up and running again after the surgeries (one port installation surgery also). Other than the days I get treatment, I am feeling ok. Unless I told someone, they would know I have cancer.
At any rate, I want to get out there and date. I certainly would never hold back the fact that I have cancer to someone. Just putting this question out there..do I tell the person on the first face to face meeting, before meeting them or only if there is some potential after the first meeting that there may be a second one. It wouldnt bother me if they shy away from me because I have cancer. I know not everyone would be able to handle hearing that although if someone really was interested..it may not matter..
Would appreciate your feed back..thanks
