My grandmother was diagnosed Friday with Multiple Myeloma which is a cancer of the white blood cells and eventually of the bone marrow. She is 75 and is the rock of our family. She has always been the caretaker. My grandfather can not cook and in the last few weeks just learned to work the microwave. They are old school. All of this has happened so fast week before last they found the tumors on her spine and then Friday had a meeting with the cancer doctor, today bone marrow testing and other test, tomorrow and Friday another appointment. I mean how do you deal with this? She has never been sick no heart problems anything never been in the hospital never has surgery, her and my grandfather go on vacation at least 4 times a year she is always in the kitchen cooking something, and now within a few weeks she is walking with a walker and has cancer.
