Hey everyone, I am new here but thought maybe you all would have some good advice.
My mother was just diagnosed with cancer last week and was told she would be having chemotherapy... and she is worried about her hair falling out because she is a teacher and is feeling self-conscious about her students knowing her diagnosis, and her doctor confirmed that she would lose all of her hair unfortunately.
I told her I wanted to give her my hair so she would have a wig of hair from someone she knew (I have really long hair so the length isn't an issue) and she was really excited about it... but I know from my sister who donates to Locks of Love regularly that you can't designate a recipient with them...
so does anyone know where I can go to donate my hair knowing that they will make a wig only for my mother? She doesn't start Chemo for another 3 weeks so we have a little time.
Thanks so much!

Hi!
I am sorry about your mom.
After reading Maggies post to you I wanted to add, my mom did order wigs out of a catalog.
Thanks everyone for your thoughtful replies!
I have no tips on the IP.
