Hi all.  I'm new to this board, but not to iVillage.  I just found out Friday that my ex-husbands brain tumor is growing again.  We found out a year ago in June that he has a grade 4 Glioma in the brain stem.  Everything I have read suggests that the survival rate is extremely low for this type of cancer.  Since then, he has taken radiation and chemo and was doing okay, but it has regenerated.  We have a nine year old son together and it's killing me inside because I know what the outcome will be.  My ex and I have remained friends over the 5 years we've been divorced and this is really hitting me hard.  I can hardly look my son in the face without wanting to burst into tears, but I know I need to be strong for him.  If anyone has any advice about how to help children (and myself) get through something like this, I'd be grateful.  I was thinking about seeking out a family support group for myself and my son.

A family support group is a wonderful, proactive idea.
