Dad saw oncologist yesterday...

My Dad was seen by the oncologist yesterday, though it wasn't his "regular" one.  According to this doctor, apparently some of the lymph nodes were involved.  We did NOT know this.  Nobody did.  Mom didn't.  I got really confused, needless to say, and for a few minutes I wasn't able to speak.

My Dad saw the doctor first, then after a while, she came to speak to me, he came out.  She actually took me to an exam room to chat.

She just wanted to go over what she had told my Dad -- no biggie, that's understandable.
So she goes on to say what the next course of treatment will be, and something to the effect of "due to some of the lymph nodes being diseased..."  I'm sure that my face turned white!  We talked for a while, and she did assure me that the odds are in his favor, that he SHOULD be okay.

I don't exactly feel 100% better about it.

Chemo will begin again (which we knew about) on Monday, 12/29.  It will consist of 4 cycles of 3 treatments each week, once/week.  Mon/Mon/Mon/break/Mon/Mon/Mon... etc...  This time around he will be at the center for treatments.

The thing with cancer is that there are always these ups and downs.
