There are generally 4 classes of pumps.

I have never used any pump other than the PISA. I liked it fine. Sometimes wished I had separate control over speed and suction, but really not a huge deal. I had problems with my pump "skipping a beat" about 3 mos into pumping and called Medela who overnighted me a new pump. That pump lasted until the end of my EP career at 10 mos, and is carefully packed away for next time. I felt it did fine maintaining my supply, extra parts are easy to find, and the backpack had a place for everything I needed, including a cooler and ice pack to store milk after pumping at work or while out.

I started off using the Medela Symphony in the hospital and then rented it for one month after I left the hospital.

Brought Easy Expression Bra/ Bustier
and Pumpin Pals

Medela Soft Shields were the only accessory which had a generally negative response.
