HI Helymo,
I'm late to this post, but I wanted to know how you kept up such a rigorous pump schedule (11-13x per day) for so long and still care for and spend time with baby??? I guess you also didn't have much pain during pumping, huh?
Thanks!
According to our board survey..
At 4 weeks .
The modal (occurs most often) amount of pumps is 8, but the mean is 7 (although the mean may be reduced by people not pumping exclusively at this point, so i'd need to look at individual results.)
At 8 weeks
The mean number of pumps is 7, and most people are pumping 7 or 8 times.
At 12 weeks
The mean number of pumps is 6 and most people are pumping 6 or 7 times
At 16 weeks
Most people are pumping 5 or 6 times (mean is 5.5)
At 20 weeks
Mean number of pumps is 5, and there is a pretty even distribution between pumping 4, 5 and 6 times
At 6 months
Mean number of pumps is 4
At 9 months
Mean number of pumps is 3.5 (most people pumping 3 times, but 44% are pumping more than that - 4, 5, or 6 times)
At 12 months
Mean number of pumps is 3
