Hi-

I have a cold and really feel I need to take a decongestant?

I believe there are a list of ok meds on kellymom.com

I personally take Sudafed or Tylenol allergy/sinus.

I'm sorry you aren't feeling well and hope you're back to normal soon.

Just a lurking alumni here . . .

I took Sudafed to help me dry up while weaning and it worked like a charm. I often "heard" ladies on this board talk about how negatively it affected their supply. If at all possible, I'd avoid it.

Good luck!

I had an LC recommend Neo-synephrine (nasal spray). It works pretty well and shouldn't affect your supply. I haven't used it since early in my pumping career, so I can't guarantee anything.

HTH and that you feel better soon,

I have taken Sudafed and it affected my supply a little. I only took it at bed time when I could not stand a stuffy nose. I used a humidifier and inhaled peppermint oil during the day to clear my sinuses.

My supply went right back up after a couple days. It affects everyone differently though.

I hope you feel better soon.

Thanks ladies--

I have a tendency to get sinus infections on my left side so I've got to be careful to not let gunk fester up there.
